I am a Registered Nurse and have dedicated my career to serving others in need. I am writing to ask you to oppose House Bill H.R. XXX. This bill would essentially cap the pay offered to individual nurses.   

Many nurses have experienced prolonged burnout, even prior to the COVID-19 pandemic and as you may know, burnout leads to nurses and other healthcare professionals leaving the field entirely. Passing this House Bill and essentially capping nurse wages would not solve the larger issue that we are experiencing – which is a shortage of nurses.   

Nurses are critical to the safety and well-being of patients and limiting our ability to make a competitive wage will only encourage nurses to look to other professions. Thank you for your time and attention to this important issue and I urge you to oppose this Bill.
